Compassionate Burnout Prevention
Self-compassion based practices, strategies & conversations to guide you towards improved self-care
Service Description
Caring for others is within our human nature, but what happens when it starts to come at the expense of our own needs. Caring for others as a family member or close friend, as a therapist or healthcare provider, as a teacher or other helping profession can be very rewarding, but can also become overwhelming. You may lose your own voice; resentment may build; external recognition may diminish and negative thoughts can spirals. As a mother, an individual living with chronic conditions, and as a social worker for 19 years, I can fully appreciate how difficult it can be to be pulled in multiple directions, and to struggle to find yourself in the mix. Join me on November 20 for a one-day workshop to improve your stress management, quality of life, self-compassion & general sense of well-being. We'll complete mindfulness-based practices together, explore your stress cycle, discuss your values & reframe expectations. Having honoured your needs for the day, you'll leave feeling rejuvenated having reconnected with your true self within a supportive setting, while also having improved skills to carry forward for ongoing coping.
